The Design: The home kit returned to a more traditional claret shade and featured subtle "shadow stripes," serving as an homage to the Le Coq Sportif kits worn by the club during the 1984/85 season.

The Details: The collar and cuffs featured 12 stripes, symbolizing the 12 original members of the Football League. Additionally, a small embroidered copy of the William McGregor statue—the founder of the Football League—was placed on the back of the collar.

The Sponsorship: The shirt featured 32Red as the principal partner on the front.
