Design: One of the most talked-about and radical departures from tradition in club history. Nike completely ditched the vertical stripes in favor of a bold, red and blue checkerboard square pattern. The design was inspired by the distinct grid layout of the famous Eixample district in Barcelona, designed by urban planner Ildefons Cerdà. It features solid blue sleeves, a V-neck collar finished with a prominent Catalan flag insert at the throat, and the white Rakuten sponsor logo.

Heritage: This shirt represents a highly unique, transitional season at the Camp Nou. Despite the split opinions on the design, it remains highly collectable as the final full-season home kit worn by Lionel Messi before entering his final year at the club. Messi put on an absolute clinical display in this shirt, scoring 31 goals across all competitions and registering an incredible 21 assists in La Liga alone to claim his seventh Pichichi trophy.
