Design: This jersey marked a return to vertical stripes, featuring four prominent black stripes running down the front of the traditional yellow base. The stripes were subtly interrupted in the center to accommodate the sponsor logo, and the shirt was finished with a clean black crew neck collar and black cuffs.

Heritage: The design was deeply rooted in the club's history, drawing inspiration from the iconic 1988/89 home jersey—the very kit Dortmund wore when they won the DFB-Pokal against Werder Bremen. It was also designed to honor the "Wildschütz" inn, the historic birthplace where the club was officially founded back in 1909.
